1. Acceptance of Terms
By using the web service pdfto.dev (https://pdfto.dev), you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with these terms, please discontinue use of the site.
2. Service Description and Technical Limits
pdfto.dev provides free online document tools: splitting and merging PDFs, a visual
page organizer (reordering, rotating, deleting), PDF compression, PDF ↔ Word (.docx)
conversion, PDF ↔ Images (PNG, JPG, WEBP) conversion, metadata editing and stripping, as well as
setting and removing PDF password protection.
To ensure stable and secure operation for all users, standard technical limits apply (which may be dynamically configured by the administrator):
- Maximum single file size: up to 100 MB;
- Maximum total batch upload size: up to 250 MB (up to 50 files per operation);
- Maximum PDF page count: up to 500 pages (up to 150 pages for resource-intensive conversions to Word and raster images).
3. Content Rights and User Responsibility
- Your documents belong to you: The service claims no intellectual property rights over the files you upload or the processed output files.
- Lawful use: You confirm that you have the legal right to view, edit, convert, or remove password protection from the uploaded documents and that your actions do not infringe copyright or third-party rights.
- Backups: Because processing is performed automatically in streaming mode without storing copies on the server, we recommend keeping original backup copies of important documents on your device.
4. Acceptable Use and Prohibited Activities
When using pdfto.dev, you may not:
- Use automated scripts, scrapers, or bots to bypass the web interface or established request rate limits;
- Upload specially crafted malicious files (ZIP/DOCX bombs, image decompression bombs, exploits);
- Attempt unauthorized access to server infrastructure or restricted administrative sections.
If suspicious or automated activity is detected, access from the corresponding IP address may be temporarily or permanently restricted by the automated protection system.
5. Disclaimer of Warranties and Limitation of Liability
The service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without any express or implied warranties of uninterrupted operation or absolute visual formatting accuracy during complex conversions between PDF and Word formats.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the author and operator of the service shall not be liable for any direct or indirect damages, data loss, or lost profits arising from the use or inability to use the service.
